1. Consultancy Services for Imparting Basic and Intermediate Level Digital Skills Training for Youth in Sierra Leone

Liranz Limited, contracted by the Ministry of Technical and Higher Education, Sierra Leone to provide comprehensive orientation and training to 300 youths in Front-end development, Back-end development, Mobile App Development, Web Design, Scripting & Automation, Cloud Computing, and E-commerce Website Development.

The goal of this assignment was to create digital skills training programs designed for SDF graduates and other eligible youth, with a particular focus on in-demand tech skills. Through the Skills Development Project (SDP), there is the aspiration to enhance the employment opportunities of SDF graduates by providing basic and intermediate digital skills training to 300 youth, both male and female.

The training objectives were as follows:

▪ To deliver fundamental and intermediate digital skills training to the youth in Sierra Leone, with a particular emphasis on skill sets that are currently in high demand within the local job market. 

â–ª To offer practical training that empowers the youth to gain hands-on experience, enabling them to acquire the skills essential for securing employment or launching their own entrepreneurial endeavors.

â–ª To equip beneficiaries with vital soft skills, including effective communication, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities, which are indispensable for success in the digital work environment.

â–ª To bolster the capacity of local training institutions and educators to provide high-quality digital skills training to the youth, thereby enhancing their competence in this domain.

2. Consultancy Services for NC3 Staff Capacity Development for Newly Recruited Staff - Sierra Leone

Liranz played a pivotal role in on-boarding newly recruited staff for the National Cybersecurity Coordinating Center in Sierra Leone.

We developed and facilitated targeted training sessions, focusing on cybersecurity fundamentals, operational protocols, and best practices. This initiative ensured the new team members were well-prepared to tackle their roles in safeguarding the nation’s digital infrastructure.

The main objective is to equip the newly recruited staff of the NC3 with the general skills, tools and organizational culture of working in a national cybersecurity agency and to build a resilient cyber team with a key focus on service delivery and implementation

Specific Objectives of the Project required us to:

  1. Design and implement an effective orientation program for newly recruited staff of the NC3, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of organizational policies, procedures, and values while fostering a sense of belonging within the cybersecurity ecosystem.
  2. Enhance staff capacity in IT service delivery methodologies by providing comprehensive training in the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL), preparing staff for certification and enabling them to apply best practices in IT service management, thereby improving service delivery efficiency and effectiveness.
  3. Equip staff with holistic knowledge and foundational skills in Scrum and Lean methodologies, emphasizing their application in Agile project environments, fostering an environment of agility, adaptability, and continuous improvement within project management practices.
  4. Formulate a 3-year detailed strategic work plan aligned with the goals and priorities outlined in the National Cybersecurity Strategy.
