Structured Cabling, LAN, Wireless Access Points and Access Control Setup and Configuration

Liranz implemented a comprehensive installation and integration of a structured cabling infrastructure to support 155 workstations, 8 access points, 15 security cameras and access control system for 8 doors. This project was primarily focused on laying a solid technological foundation that could scale to meet future demands while integrating various operational technologies under a unified network infrastructure.

OBJECTIVES

  1. Structured Cabling Installations for Workstations:
  • The installation of network cabling (cat 6) to 155 workstations across two wings of the building: 75 workstations in the East wing and 80 in the West wing.
  • Each workstation was equipped with a media port capable of accommodating an RJ45 connector to provide network connectivity.
  1. Wireless Access Points:
  • To ensure comprehensive Wi-Fi coverage across the entire facility cables were routed to 8 access points that were strategically placed.
  1. Surveillance System (Security Cameras):
  • The installation of 15 security cameras to monitor critical areas of the building including entrance exits and other high-risk- zones.
  • Each camera was connected to the network via PoE ensuring reliable power and data transmission through a single cable.
  • The cameras were linked to the central control panel for real-time monitoring and recording enhancing security throughout the facility.
  1. Access Control System:
  • Installation of an access control system for 8 doors in the building. This system was designed to provide secure access through the use of HID card readers at the entrance and soft – touch exit buttons at the exits.
  • The access control was fully integrated with the infrastructure with central management to monitor and log access events.
  • All cables for the access control system were routed from the central control panel to each of the 8 doors ensuring reliable communication and access.

Conclusion

In conclusion the project was completed successfully with all the systems correctly installed and operating fully. As stated above, the structured cabling supports 155 workstations and 15 security cameras and access control system for 8 doors at Ubiquity Global. A successful result integrated the network infrastructure enabling a very good reliable secure and scalable connectivity for the facility. Supporting future growth.
