Climate Change has become a growing concern for the world at large. With effort being put more and more into renewable and sustainable processes for climate safety, NYU Abu Dhabi and NYU Accra put together a conference for Climate Change Governance In Africa.
Climate change governance refers to the systems, structures, policies, and processes put in place by governments, international organizations, and other stakeholders to address and manage the challenges posed by climate change. It involves the coordination of efforts at various levels, from local to global, to mitigate the causes of climate change (such as greenhouse gas emissions) and adapt to its impacts (such as rising temperatures, sea-level rise, and extreme weather events).
The Conference was held in Accra at the Lancaster Hotel. The event brought together stakeholders and key research figures across the continent to share on the various findings and breakthroughs the research into climate conservation and sustainability has yielded.
Liranz being the Trusted IT Partner for NYU in Accra, provided on site Support for the Entire duration of the conference. As part of our own responsibility to sustainable development we had no further considerations when we were called upon to support this conference.
We can say with certainty, that the conference was a success and promises were made to further the conversations and collaborations that were initiated at the conference.
